Alas, no natural light was available when this one was ready to pop out of the oven. However, the taste was fantastic. I am looking forward to adding fresh thyme later this season!

Methods:

I used The Food Network’s Simple Blueberry Apple Pie Recipe with the Gluten Free Mountain Man Pie Crust, which is using Carol’s Sorghum Blend with Brown Rice flour instead of sweet rice flour.

Summer Salads

Sorry for the lack of posting recently–we’re in the heat of the summer here in Montana, and Rabi and I are frantically trying to pack in as many activities as possible before we move to Vermont next week.  But I wanted to share this photo of a beautiful salad Rabi’s brother made us on a recent trip to Portland.  Summers are perfect for salads–our lettuce is going crazy and edible flowers (you’ll see borage and nasturtiums in the salad below) are blooming.  Also, making your own salad dressing is a great, thrifty idea.  Dressing can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it, and it’s a wonderful way to save some money.  So enjoy!
